To ensure proper function, the hydraulic system MUST BE bled of all air using new DOT 3 brake fluid. The clutch pedal height and free play should be checked for proper adjustment. If the DOT 3 Fluid in the hydraulic system is not golden in color, the system has become contaminated and the fluid must be replaced. If the discoloration has a black tint, it is the result of the master or slave cylinder seals wearing out.
