Key Benefits:
  • All of our production clutches are remanufactured in accordance with SAE Procedure J1915, ensuring consistent quality.
  • Updates to product specifications based on OE bulletins or field experience are automatically incorporated into the product to deliver the best product possible.
  • Heavy duty upgrades are available for most items.  Ask our technical support department for your options.
Notes on remanufactured clutches:
  • Remanufacturing is an economically viable and environmentally responsible option for Medium and Heavy Duty Truck, Farm, Industrial, and Antique or Vintage clutch applications.
  • Most, if not all, of the OE clutch companies listed above remanufacture their own clutches somewhere in the world.
  • Some OEM's, such as BMW, Ford and Toyota , already provide a high percentage of their replacement service units as remanufactured clutch products. We expect them to continue to expand this program in the coming years with emphasis on expanding their presence in the traditional replacement parts aftermarket.
  • The reasons that automotive clutches are not remanufactured today as they had been in the past are:
    • OE clutch manufacturers no longer supply parts to rebuilders, they prefer to sell only new units. This forces rebuilders to salvage components that had been traditionally replaced and in many cases had an impact on overall quality.
    • Clutches are being made overseas at such low costs that it is no longer possible to remanufacture these types of clutches and still provide a savings against new products.
  • The times they are a-changing - New York State currently has legislation in committee that requires preferential treatment for recycled or remanufactured products. As we search for solutions to reduce pollution and solid waste, government will be stepping in to draft guidelines to promote the recycling and remanufacturing of many different products. We believe this is the wave of the future, and we will continue to take whatever steps are necessary to bring you the finest in friction products.
