This is a Lipe style two-piece hinged Clutch Brake. This clutch brake is hinged on one end and snaps together once the clutch brake is in place and installed. If the clutch brake should fail, it can be removed in place without pulling the transmission. The two pins that are supplied with the brake are inserted into the pre-drilled holes in the side of the brake and then the brake can be pulled apart and removed. This procedure can be done through the inspection cover opening in the bellhousing.
