This is a Phoenix Friction Stage 3 Heavy Duty combination Kevlar and Ceramic Street Performance Clutch Kit. The kit features an Heavy Duty Pressure Plate and a Phoenix Friction high heat Kevlar and Ceramic spring dampened disc.

The combination of a full-faced Kevlar friction material and a bonded Ceramic button ring clutch handles high heat levels and minimizes chatter. It will provide up to a 50% increase in engine torque capacity over the OE clutch. At the same time, you will not notice any increase in pedal effort over the stock clutch.  The combination of these two premium friction materials provides up to a 200% gain in clutch life than that of original equipment under normal driving conditions. Note: Kevlar is a high tech material that needs up to a 1000 mile break in period to properly seat for optimum performance.

A Phoenix Stage 3 Heavy Duty combination Kevlar and Ceramic Street Performance Clutch Kit is a direct factory fit and requires no modifications for installation.  The kit is a complete clutch kit and includes all necessary components when replacing your clutch.

NOTE: The original spacer plate Ford 3C3Z-6A366-AA is no longer required. The solid flywheel is designed to account for that thickness and has the centering lip as an integral part of the piece.

2005-2008 F250-550 Super Duty manual trans - clutch pedal concern

Some 2005-2008 F250-550 super duty vehicles with a manual transmission may exhibit a clutch pedal concern described as "falls to the floor", "clutch pedal stays on the floor", or "clutch pedal feels spongy". If the concern is diagnosed as the control assembly - clutch hydraulic actuator (base part number 7c522), ensure the heat shield is fully covering the clutch slave cylinder end of the assembly. If the heat shielding is not fully covering the clutch slave cylinder, slide the heat shielding toward the transmission until the forward end of the shield contacts the cylinder mounting flange at the transmission housing.
