Problem: Ford Aluminum Bearing Retainer Wear Clutch Kit Affected: 07-038

The aluminum retainer on these models can wear to a point where it causes the release bearing to bind. This binding and misalignment can result in erratic clutch operation including hard pedal, improper release or clutch chatter. To avoid problems following installation, examine and replace the bearing retainer as needed during installation.
