CF9864K Clutch Fork and Ball Stud Kit: Dodge Ram Series Pickup

This is a new OE replacement Clutch Fork with a new Ball Stud, Ball Stud Retaining Clip, and a Spacer washer. The picture is of the actual product.

Wear at the contact points of the clutch fork and the release bearing can cause hard pedal and/or problems with release. In addition, clutch forks made from stamped steel have a tendency to warp or fatigue and not retain their original shape. It is recommended to carefully inspect the clutch fork for these issues and replace as required. Inspection of the transmission bearing retainer, clutch ball stud, bushings, and other release system components is also highly recommended at this time. Replace parts as necessary.

The spacer washer is used only when the original spacer washer is not available due to a prior double disc clutch conversion. The double disc clutch sits closer to the transmission than OE and in order for it to work, the original ball stud spacer washer needs to be removed. Failure to install a 1/8" thick spacer washer may result in partial release of the clutch since the slave cylinder push rod will need to travel further to fully disengage.
