This clutch kit contains a solid one piece flywheel that replaces the original equipment dual mass flywheel setup. A solid flywheel is a more durable option for your vehicle but it may increase gear roll-over noise at idle and in neutral. Changing to a solid flywheel will not affect the life of the drivetrain components.

This is a direct stock replacement clutch kit and will not require any modifications during installation.

If you're considering this clutch kit, order 6 flywheel bolts Ford Part Number 2S7Z-6379-AA from somewhere eise because this kit does not come with them, despite the description stating that "This is a direct stock replacement clutch kit and will not require any modifications during installation and includes all necessary components when replacing your clutch." This is not the least expensive flywheel conversion kit you can find. Do more research than I did and save yourself some money. Also, don't expect customer service. I've emails and left messages about the missing boltsbut no one ever bothered to contact me.

No clutch alignment tool, no flywheel bolts or shims [Phoenix response: these parts are not part of the kit as shown in the picture and in the kit contents list under specs. No alignment tool is needed because it is pre-assembled, the flywheel bolts are used over again unless damaged, and shims should not be used with this type modular clutch kit]
