Problem: Chevrolet/GMC Light Truck Disc Failures Clutch Kits Affected: 04-064, 04-087, 04-105

The use of oversized lock washers on the clutch mounting bolts of GM trucks with 12“ clutches can cause release problems. The larger diameter of the washers can extend through the cutouts in the clutch far enough to contact with the disc. Use only standard a” diameter washers or thread locking compound and torque the bolts to manufacturers specifications.
