Problem: Taurus SHO Clutch and Flywheel Match Clutch Kit Affected: 07-078

1989-90 Taurus SHO models were originally equipped with a 9¼” clutch. In October 1991, a redesigned clutch with a 9¾” diameter was installed to remedy complaints of slippage and premature failure. When replacing the clutch on these models with an 07-078 kit, a 9¾” flywheel from Ford must be used.
